League 3 discussions

I have a feeling this will conflict with the DTM 2010 mod, so for those who have it installed, it may be a good idea to remove that first. At least this mod we have an option to choose cars other than Audi and Mercedes, I reckon this is gonna be fun. Can't wait to try it out.

I only made one post about the simbin retro expansion. All the others were free mods. Escort V8's were the favourite.


I am not a big fan of Simbin retro expansion. The Mini is too fast for the BMW and Volvo in the Retro Cool class, and there are only four cars in the Retro Max class (Camaro, Corvette, BMW CSL, and Opel Commodore) and they have no down force and not much mechanical grip for their power. For Commodore I prefer the free Commodore V8 mod. For Corvette and BMW CSL you can have the exact same cars in the GTL_1.3 mod.

Of all the free retro mods I listed the Escort V8's is the only one I raced with racedpartment and everyone loved it.

I love to do setup work and you get two different wets, three different slick compounds, more mechanical grip options than any other mod, and if I remember correctly different rear wings and front splitter.

There are several other free retro mods to choose from but I think the Escort V8 was wanted most. I hope they will not be ruled out of league four.

Reminds me of rFactor 1 where you could use a different aero pack for different circuits, I think that is one thing that rFactor had over race 07, where you could actually modify your car to have different aero kits and also engine/handling tune ups/upgrades. For stock content you had to earn cash to buy the upgrades, which gave you an incentive to race more, I remember trying to get all the upgrades for the Panoz.
